Big Sky Libraries provides a free delivery service to those who have difficulty visiting their local library.
How Does it Work?
A staff member will contact you and chat with you about what you would like to borrow. The library items delivered to you will fit your preferences and needs. You can change your listed preferences at any time or phone with specific requests.
The Home Library Service is available to people who are temporarily or permanently housebound due to:
- illness or injury
- physical or sensory impairment
- carer responsibilities
Applicants will be required to have the necessary paperwork signed by a medical practioner or health care worker.
What items can I have delivered?
You can choose to borrow any items from Big Sky Libraries lending collection including:
- Fiction Available in standard print, paperback, large print or audio books in a wide variety of authors and genres
- Non fiction Biographies, travel tales, true crime or information on almost any topic
- Audiobooks Available in both fiction and non-fiction
If you have access to the internet you can look at our catalogue and request items. If we do not hold a particular item you are seeking, please talk to us about it. We can try to borrow it from another library or consider purchasing the item.
